Friday, November 24

10 am – 3 pm: Inside Museum Mini-Golf. Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, 859 Main Street. Family Fun! $8 – ages 4 – Adult (3 and under free, but cannot play). Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  Last tee time is 2 pm.

10 am – 5 pm: Lemon Tree Village Annual Coat Drive to benefit Lower Cape Outreach Council clients. Drop off gently used coats starting today and throughout the month of December.

 

10 am - 5 pm: Toy Drive through December 15. The Village Toy Store in Lemon Tree Village.  All donated toys will be given to Lower Cape Outreach Council. Purchase a toy from The Village Toy Store, donate it to our collection and we will double your donation with an additional toy of equal value.

 

Saturday, November 25:

SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY!  Shop local and the money stays here! Support our local businesses during this day-long celebration. Visit www.brewster-capecod.com for participating businesses.

Wednesday, November 29

2:30 pm: Author Jim Coogan presents ‘Sears Point’ at Wingate Residences at Brewster Place. Coogan has written 11 books about Cape Cod, including four for children. His newest book, “Sears Point: A Novel of Cape Cod,” is his first foray into fiction writing and covers a century of history in the town of Brewster. Brewster Place’s author and lecture series events are free and open to the public, but donations of non-perishable food items to benefit The Family Pantry of Cape Cod are welcome. 11 am – 4 pm: Open House & Holiday Sale. The MEWS at Brewster Antiques, 2926 Main Street. A true antique shop, open Friday – Monday in December.

 

11 am - 5 pm: Open House & Meet the Author. Struna Galleries, 3873 Main Street. Meet author Barbara Eppich Struna of The Old Cape Series. And meet Copley Artist Timothy Jon Struna. Sign up to win a framed print and book, value $240.

Visit the studio where sewist Marci Tyldesley designs and sews coastal beach bags, totes and accessories on site.  Enjoy shopping the boutique over wine, cheese, cookies and cocoa.  All who visit will also be entered in a raffle to win a $25 gift card to the shop.

 

3 – 5:30 pm: Blacksmith Demonstration and Windmill Tours. Brewster Historical Society at Drummer Boy Park. Windmill lighting and luminary display as part of the Brewster for the Holidays Illumination Ceremony.

 

4 pm: Rockin’ Round the Christmas Tree. Drummer Boy Park, Route 6A Luminaries glow throughout Drummer Boy Park at the annual bayside tree and windmill lighting. Carol-sing-a-long, free treats, kids goodie bags, windmill and blacksmith shop demos. Santa arrives by fire truck. Sponsored by WeNeedaVacation.com, the Brewster Historical Society, Bennett Environmental Associates, Inc., Coastal Engineering and To Hague III Building & Remodeling.

 

7 pm: Holiday Band Concert. The Brewster Band at the Brewster Baptist Church, 1848 Main Street. Festive holiday music by the popular Brewster Band, complete with an audience sing-a-long. Donations to benefit the Brewster Historical Society’s Youth Programs are appreciated (checks are accepted).  Sponsored by Peggy Farber, Realtor and oldCape Sotheby’s International Realty, Brewster.

10 am - Noon: Holiday Outdoor Container Workshop. Crocker Nurseries, 1132 Rt. 137. Get some help designing and making your outdoor containers, including cemetery logs!  Choose from our wide selection of greens, ribbons and decorations.  Bring your own container, or pick up a new one.  The class is free, just pay for the greens and decorations used.  Call 508-896-5060 to register.

 

10 am – 1 pm: “Where’s the Snowman?” Brewster Bookstore, 2648 Main Street. For kids ages 3 – 12: find the snowman and be eligible to win a prize.

5:30 – 6:15 pm. Celebrate with The Family Schools and Brewster Day Camp! A gathering to honor all the alumni, families and teachers who have ever helped to create our community. Through the poems, songs and stories of five traditions the children and teachers lead us in the respectful recreation of human connections over our thirty-eight years. Brewster Baptist Church sanctuary

 

Thursday, December 7

Saturday, December 9

10 am: Create Your Own Boxwood Tree. Crocker Nurseries, 1132 Route 137. This is probably the longest class, but it is well worth the effort!  You will start with a piece of oasis and add boxwood and decorations to create a full tree that will last all through the holidays. 11 am – 1 pm: Look who is coming in December: Kristen Kladstrup! Brewster Book Store, 2648 Main Street.  A signed book is a perfect gift! She will be signing her new middle fiction book The Nutcracker Mice (and others!).

12 Noon – 2 pm: Holiday Open House with Santa. Crocker Nurseries, 1132 Route 137. With the smell of hot apple cider in the background, browse our holiday decorated Garden Shop including our decorated theme trees.  We have everything you need to decorate your home including holiday plants, wreaths, trees, ribbon, roping, greens, ornaments and much more!  You can also shop for the gardener in your life and get a great gift. Santa will be there from 12-2 to visit with kids (and pets!) and enjoy free refreshments all day.

 

12 Noon – 4 pm: Holiday Open House. Sesuit Harbor House, 1421 Route 6A, East Dennis. Join us for fun, special treats, jingle bell prices and tours of the Sesuit Harbor House. Make sure you visit The Sesuit Christmas Shop, which specializes in unique locally made art, jewelry, as well as our signature line of beachwear. The gift shop is open for the holidays, 11/24/17 thru 12/24/17!

10 am: Make your own Holiday Centerpiece. Crocker Nurseries, 1132 Route 137. Using a starting block of oasis you will add a variety of greens and decorations as well as candles, if desired, to create a nice centerpiece for your table for holiday parties and dinners.  Impress your friends and family with your custom centerpiece!  This also makes a great hostess gift.
