Dr. Tim McAdams, Breakwater Dental, wins 2013 Build a Better Mousetrap Award from SCORE

Breakwater Dental, located at 2187 Main Street in Brewster is owned and Brewster dentist Tim McAdams receives award for economic development operated by Timothy McAdams, DDS, and is now in its eleventh year of operation. The practice has a dual focus of supporting the patients and supporting the community.

The first focus is to make the patients the center of the practice by providing unparalleled dental care in a relaxed, friendly environment. Daily morning staff meetings are held to discuss how to make the patients’ experience the best possible.

The second focus is to be an active, supportive member of the communities served including Brewster, Harwich, Chatham, Orleans, Dennis, Yarmouth, Wellfleet, Truro, and Provincetown. Examples include:

$4,000 raised and contributed to Holiday for Hope for Brewster Recreation
Support for Stony Brook Elementary School Wellness Fair and Community Dental Health Awareness week at the Eddy Elementary School
Brewster in Bloom VIP (Very Important Patients) Tent and parade judging
Dr. McAdams and Gosia Palmer, RDH both volunteer for Cape Cares, a medical mission organization that donates their time and resources to improve the lives of the poor and needy of Central America, specifically Honduras. They provide free dental services to people in locations where there is no access to ongoing medical treatment.
Donations of dental home care supplies to local organizations that serve low to moderate income clients of agencies like WeCan, Noah Shelter, etc.
Member of Cape Cod Dentists Care, providing dental care for low to moderate-income uninsured residents that qualify with dental care needs.

SCORE sponsors the Mousetrap Awards to honor businesses that have survived the first five critical years and are contributing to the long-term economic health of Cape Cod. Local chambers of commerce select the winners who receive their award at a breakfast in May.
